Precariously Balance Janet Kuypers 5/19/19 the world doesn’t understand I’ve been wanting to die since I almost died years ago and I didn’t know anyone else felt the way I did we hold everything in; we put on a facade and everyone ascribes it to our quirky ways but we’ve been dying and no one sees it only when the corpse is discovered does it rattle you for a moment but the pain doesn’t go away you people take a moment, you grieve and you think that time heals all wounds but those who are forced to live know the difference it’s a balancing act, and we walk on, between life and death you want to think that life is good — and it can be — but everything that could be terrible is lurking right behind it’s a balancing act it’s a tightrope walk some have slipped off some only precariously balance
